Superstar pianist Lang Lang brings his signature artistry to a recital of profound beauty and virtuosic brilliance. From the wit and elegance of Mozart to the emotional depth of Beethoven's Pathétique Sonata and the luminous lyricism of the late Sonata op. 110, the first half traces the evolution of the Classical piano tradition. In the second half, Lang Lang explores the rich musical landscapes of Spain through evocative masterpieces by Albéniz and Granados, before concluding with Liszt's intimate Consolations no. 2 and the sparkling Tarantella, a thrilling finale that brings the evening to a spectacular close.
The concert runs approximately 2 hours with an intermission.
