A concert of reflection and beauty marks two milestones: the 80th birthday of Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks in 2026 and the 50th anniversary of Benjamin Britten’s passing. With Vineta Sareika, former concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic, as leader and violin soloist, the evening offers a radiant tribute to these towering voices of the 20th century, alongside Barber’s timeless Adagio for Strings.
The concert runs approximately 1 hour 20 minutes without an intermission.
