Experience masterful Russian composers and the remarkable talent of Behzod Abduraimov, praised for his “magic touch” (The Times). This world-acclaimed Uzbek pianist made a striking HK Phil debut with Rachmaninov’s Third Concerto in 2015. A decade later, in his third collaboration with the HK Phil, Abduraimov will showcase his virtuosity and musicality in Rachmaninov’s timeless Second Concerto. The magical evening continues as Long Yu brings other Russian masterpieces to life: from Mussorgsky’s Khovanshchina: Dawn on the Moskva River, to Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. Join the Sultan and immerse yourself in the captivating storytelling!
The concert runs approximately 1 hour 45 minutes with an intermission.
