Fasten your seatbelts for a high-octane musical journey, from Hans Zimmer’s epic Gladiator score to Wagner’s imposing Die Walküre, via the jazzy swing of Artie Shaw’s Clarinet Concerto with Principal Clarinet Andrew Simon. The HK Phil trombone section – Jarod Vermette, Christian Goldsmith, Kevin Thompson, and Aaron Albert – performs Koetsier’s Concertino for Four Trombones, a playful showcase of brass virtuosity. From circus march to operatic fire, this musical thrill ride soars with energy and lands in unforgettable style.

The concert runs approximately 60 minutes without an intermission.
