Although still in her 20s, Sarah Chang is already a veteran of the concert platform, having made her New York début at the age of 8. She has effortlessly bloomed from dazzling Wunderkind to mature interpreter, applauded all over the world for her emotionally committed performances and authoritative sound. With a wealth of experience behind him, Brahms completed his First Symphony at the age of 43, its long gestation resulting in a richly melodious and unified essay, rising out of tension and drama to a blazing finale of life-affirming triumph.
