Kyohei Sorita Plays Tchaikovsky

Kyohei Sorita, second prize winner at the 18th Chopin Competition, makes his debut with the HK Phil, showcasing his brilliance in Tchaikovsky’s spectacular First Piano Concerto. Under the baton of HK Phil Resident Conductor Lio Kuokman, the concert also features Tchaikovsky’s life-affirming Fifth Symphony. The evening opens with a world premiere by Hong Kong composer Charles Kwong, offering a sneak preview of this spectacular pre-tour programme as the HK Phil prepares for performances in Japan and Korea.
The concert runs approximately 1 hour 45 minutes with an intermission.
