Jaap brings a taste of Italy to this concert, with Rossini’s delightful overture to The Thieving Magpie, and Respighi’s tribute to the beautiful Pines of Rome. Karen Gomyo returns to play Bruch’s best-loved violin concerto, and we premiere a new work by composer John Borstlap.
