Cantata No. 51 Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen
Come and celebrate Christmas in the company of some very exalted figures from the world of music. The gifts delivered by internationally-renowned expert on the performance of
Baroque music, Harry Bicket, and generously decorated by the
enchanting tones of British soprano Lucy Crowe – recipient of
the Royal Over-Seas League’s Gold Medal in 2002 – include one
of Bach’s most celebratory cantatas, all of the wonderful music
in the Suite which most people know only by the bit usually
referred to as “The Air on the G string” and two gloriously
festive outpourings of joy from Handel.
