Once upon a time, a beautiful princess is cursed to sleep for 100 years until awakened by a prince’s kiss. Renowned dancer and choreographer Vladimir Malakhov (Hong Kong Ballet’s La Bayadère) weaves a powerful tale of good triumphing over evil in his latest world premiere of The Sleeping Beauty, with Jordi Roig’s exquisite new sets and costumes. Considered the most perfect classical ballet ever created, The Sleeping Beauty is best known for its glorious Tchaikovsky score and intricate choreography, which requires intense precision and stamina.

This new production features international guest artists, including National Ballet of Bolshoi Theatre Principal Elizaveta Kokoreva, National Ballet of Canada Principal and former Hong Kong Ballet dancer Tirion Law, Dutch National Ballet Principal Maia Makhateli, and Australian Ballet First Soloist Davi Ramos. Malakhov who will also play Carabosse in select performances. The Sleeping Beauty’s fantastical characters and fanciful wedding celebration will have audiences falling under the spell of this bewitching fairytale masterpiece!
