Programme
Making his first European tour as the new Music Director of the HK Phil, Tarmo Peltokoski leads the orchestra to eight cities across four countries, marking its debut in some of Europe’s most illustrious concert halls.
The journey begins in Spain and continues to Hannover and Hamburg, Germany, where renowned pianist Martin Helmchen opens each performance with Mozart’s Piano Concerto no. 24 in C minor, bringing elegance and depth to one of Mozart’s most searching concertos. Bruckner’s Romantic Symphony unfolds as a vivid tapestry of medieval imagery, Peltokoski brings a fresh yet deeply grounded approach to Bruckner’s expansive vision, allowing the music’s long-breathed architecture to speak with natural authority.
