Nitiphum Bamrungbanthum was born in Khonkaen, Thailand, in 1997. He started playing trumpet at the age of 14, and is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Music in Music Performance at the College of Music, Mahidol University, Bangkok, where he studies trumpet with Dr Joseph Bowman. Nitiphum has participated in masterclasses with distinguished trumpers including Reinhold Friederich, Peter Monkediek, Jens Lindermans and Carole Reinhart.
Nitiphum was named Principal Trumpet of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra in May 2017 at the age of 20. He has appeared regularly as a soloist and orchestral and chamber performer throughout Thailand. Previously he served as Co-Principal of the Princess Galyani Vadhana Youth Orchestra and the Mahidol Wind Orchestra. He is a founding member of the Zero Brass Quintet, which was awarded the 2nd Prize (no first prize awarded) in the 18th Osaka International Music Competition (Mixed Chamber Music Division).
