Michelle John

Whether it was singing as a child in her local gospel choir or recording and touring with stars including Eric Clapton, Annie Lennox, Carole King, George Michael, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Mary J Blige, Tom Jones, and Andrea Bocelli, the diversity of her musical background and the wide range of artists she has worked with have given Michelle a great vision for her musical destiny.

In 2017 Michelle was a finalist on the The Voice UK television series, where she was part of Will.I.am’s team. Michelle performed weekly before a national audience of more than five million viewers. She has performed on stages across the world, including for President Obama at The White House and for Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. Michelle also is a renowned vocal coach, having coached UK pop stars including Rita Ora, Girls Aloud, Mystique, and Liberty X.

In 2020 Michelle released her debut album, Diva Songbook: Through the Storm. The album is an electrifying mix of covers and original songs. With her powerhouse vocals on full display, Michelle takes us on an emotional journey from power ballads to upbeat vocal performances as she hits the heights of Aretha Franklin and Mariah Carey.

Michelle’s 2025 singles “Raising a Man” and “Labels (Am I Good Enough?)” are stunningly original songs which have been met with critical acclaim, featured on BBC radio, and performed live on her 2025 UK tour.

Michelle has performed internationally, including at London’s celebrated Ronnie Scoa’s, the Jazz Café, the Cambridge Festival, the Royal Albert Hall, and with the National Symphonic Orchestra at London’s O2 Arena. She has toured with BBC’s Planet Earth Live, performing nightly with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra on arena stages throughout Europe, at London’s Wembley Arena, and in Osaka, Japan with the Japan Century Symphony Orchestra. Recently she performed as a guest soloist on the Young Voices concert tour of arenas across the UK, the largest school  choir concerts in the world.
