鉴於2019冠状病毒病的最新情况,以及全球跨境商旅安排尚不明朗等因素,香港管弦乐团(港乐)与巡演主办机构、演出场地和相关伙伴商讨后,原定於2020年稍后时间举行之港乐日韩巡演因而取消。

港乐、音乐总监梵志登、董事局成员及行政人员一向把观众、乐师和员工的健康与安全放在首位。我们真切希望港乐的家园和世界各地能积极克服目前的挑战。港乐及其音乐总监梵志登都非常期待能够於不久将来为日本和韩国观众呈献美乐。

A native of Colorado in the United States, Rachael Mellado was born into a musical family, beginning her violin instruction at the age of five from her cellist father and violinist mother. At the Interlochen Arts Academy, a preparatory high school in Interlochen, Michigan, she trained intensively with Julia Bushkova. She then earned a Bachelor's Degree in violin performance at The Cleveland Institute of Music, studying with Martin Chalifour, Concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra; William Preucil, Concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra; and Professor Linda Cerone, who had trained with Ivan Galamian. Immediately following graduation, in 1996, Rachael Mellado joined the Hong Kong Philharmonic .

 

Orchestral and solo performances include concerts with the Pacific Music Festival Academy Orchestra, The Cleveland Pops Orchestra, Akron Symphony Orchestra, New World Symphony, National Repertory Orchestra, Erie Philharmonic Orchestra, Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, Traverse City Orchestra, Jackson Symphony Orchestra and the Paducah Symphony Orchestra.

 

Rachael Mellado lives with her husband, the Hong Kong Philharmonic trombonist Jarod Vermette. They enjoy travelling, jogging, hiking and scuba diving.
