Symphonic Fairy Tales from HKPO and Harry Wong

Hong Kong, 27th March 2009 - The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HKPO) and well-known children’s entertainer Harry Wong invite you to the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall next week for a family concert. As tickets for 3 & 4 April, 8pm, shows were sold out, the HKPO and Harry will now entertain the audience with an extra matinee concert on 4 April at 3pm.

Harry Wong will unfold the fairy tales of Dukas’ La Peri Fanfare, Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty and Overture 1812, R. Strauss’ Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks and Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite with the HKPO under the baton of John Harding. Do not miss this chance to inspire your children’s limitless imagination!

Harry Wong
Harry Wong (Harry Goh Goh) had his first children TV programme with Radio Television Hong Kong in 1986. He is currently working with i-Cable Kids Channel. As the founder of programme “Healing-Magic”, he shares his magic with occupational-therapists and applies the art of magic and hypnosis for therapeutic uses.

Harry is a member of the European Recorder Players’ Society and one of the leading specialists in the local music education field. His series of music textbooks, Music Today, and his recorder methods have been widely adopted by primary schools throughout Hong Kong.

Hailed as “one of Asia's top orchestras”, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HKPO) is led by the internationally renowned Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Edo de Waart.
