Mr Nicholas Robert SALLNOW-SMITH

Mr. Nicholas Sallnow-Smith became Chairman of the Lion Rock Institute of Hong Kong in April 2016.

Mr. Sallnow-Smith has 40 years of experience in the property, finance and treasury. Mr. Sallnow-Smith is an independent non-executive director of Wynn Macau, Limited (a company listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange),  UCP Plc, and Aviva Life Insurance Company Limited in Hong Kong. He was previously an Independent Non-Executive Director and the Chairman of the Board of the REIT Manager of Link Asset Management from 2007-2016. He was Chief Executive of Hongkong Land Holdings Limited between 2000 and 2007.

Mr. Sallnow-Smith has been actively involved in public service. He is a member of the Board of Governors of Hong Kong Philharmonic Society Ltd.  He is the Chairman of Manpower Committee of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Council of the Treasury Markets Association, and a member of the Financial Reporting Council of Hong Kong. He was the Chairman of the General Committee of The British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong from 2012 to 2014. In the philanthropic sector, he is an Executive Committee member of Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation, a Councillor of Foundation for the Arts and Music in Asia Limited, and of the East Asian History of Science Foundation.
